Rhinoplasty is also known as nose surgery. This procedure is also sometimes referred to as nose reshaping or a nose job. Structural abnormalities in the nose that causes difficulty in breathing can be corrected using rhinoplasty. This procedure can be used to change the nose size, in relation to the other facial structures to give a symmetrical look to the face. Rhinoplasty can also change, nose width, at the bridge, nose profile, with visible humps or depressions on the bridge. The procedure can also get rid of nasal tip that is large or bulbous, drooping, or too upturned, and nostrils that are large, wide or upturned.

During this period there is noticeable change in the appearance of the nose as it refines to a more permanent outcome. The swelling might come and go or even worsen in the morning during the first year of the rhinoplasty.
Like any surgery rhinoplasty comes with its risks. The risks may include, rupture of small surface vessels of the nose, infection, poor wound healing, bleeding, and nose asymmetry. Cardiac and pulmonary complications can occur in longer surgical procedures and may be associated with the formation of, or increase in, blood clots in the venous system. Numbness and nasal airway alterations may occur after a rhinoplasty or septoplasty that may interfere with normal passage of air through the nose. There is always a reason for instruction after the rhinoplasty and this is key to the success of your surgery. Surgical incisions should not be subjected to excessive force, abrasion, or motion during your recovery from rhinoplasty.
