Preparing a Corporate Brochure

Not all brochures are made to promote products or to campaign for services that people can avail. Companies also pay for brochure printing in order that they can make their company known. It is a public relations effort more than advertising, but companies invest in these because of so many reasons, among many of which is to make their business look good to the people, like projecting the reputation of being environmentally conscious. Additionally, they also do this so as to establish their company image or to change an existing one.

So if you are tasked to prepare the company’s corporate brochure, what do you include? Your cover should already speak about what image of the company you want to project. You need to use powerful photos, graphics, and really moving slogan, which is concise but direct to the point. But below are some of the elements that you should not miss out.

1. Introduction. The introduction should be a short essay about the company, which could also be a shortened profile. Then you have to include reasons why the company is inspired for the image change, such as caring for the environment. You could cite statistics or an anecdote of the founder or the chairman that made him decide to take on a green campaign.

2. Objectives. Your company may already have existing objectives, so you can just copy it. Or you may want to include here the objectives that you have set for the campaign or the image that you want to project.

3. Mission and vision statement. All companies have their mission and vision statement where they base their operations. These are the guiding principles in how they present their corporate image, how they serve their clients, how they market their products, or how they establish their pricing. These information are vital for readers to know because they will get to know a company deeply through the mission and vision.

3. Corporate officers. Let’s face it, there are names of people that move barriers and make impossible things possible. So if you know that you have a powerhouse of individuals in your officers or board of directors, include their photos and their contribution or involvement in the company. You do not have to include their bios; after all, their names and reputation are enough.

4. Products and Services. Of course, since this is your publication, you might as well include some advertising in there. Include a list of your products and/or services, but these should not be presented in an advertising way. Present them like you would detail that it is part of the company’s operations. Include photos and concise descriptions. There is nothing wrong with including them; after all, those are your company’s assets.

5. Contact information. Never forget the contact information of your company. Since this is a corporate brochure, many of those who do this are those with more than one branch. So include the names, addresses, and contact information of the branches. Include your website in block and bold letters for emphasis because that is where people will go for more information.
