Today we have a volatile economic climate where many IT organizations are trying to balance the need to invest in new information technology (IT) equipment and in software with their organization\'s principle goal of minimizing spending of capital. The IT organizations are again shifting to leasing and in some innovative ways in financing their new acquisitions. In many situations, technology leasing or financing of IT resources offers some key strategic, operational and financial benefits compared to the outright ownership. By 2010 it has been predicted that the worldwide market for IT leasing and financing will grow beyond $100 billion. In another survey of over 100 IT organizations on the lease and finance their IT equipment, over 70% of them had reported the specific benefits associated with leasing and financing. The major benefits from the leasing and financing of IT Equipments are reported as - aids in protection against obsolescence and technological extinction, a very viable means to balance project cost with their benefits and a faster approval process with proper budget flexibility and the much needed equipment disposal and the technological decommissioning services.

Many organizations are facing a challenge on the behest of economical operation with proper resilience towards the currency fluctuations in the macroeconomic scenario along with the high commodity prices and intense global competitive pressures. To meet these challenges and to take a competitive edge over the competitors, they are looking to finance technology innovation efforts to take the path of growth in revenue collection. The IT service providers are looking to restructure operational processes to improve efficiency and improve their financial performance by abandoning all their unnecessary expenses. In these circumstances, it is very understandable that the IT service providers are seeking and utilizing some of the other ways of acquiring the much needed resources without using the existent cash reserves with them or by drawing down bank’s credit deposit lines. Thereby both IT organizations and the other business units that they support are becoming more and more involved in leasing and financing important segments of their IT infrastructure including PCs or even laptop devices to achieve additional financial flexibility in their operation and a more improved operational effectiveness.

Now we have come at the new dawn of the computing era where we conceptualized IT as a computer with an operating system and an application that all providing service to a more diverse section of end-users. Today\'s rapidly advancing IT infrastructures is a complex, highly-integrated system of both real and virtual servers with proper storage capacity and with some high-speed networks and perhaps multiple data-centres delivering numerous end-users, they can be employees, suppliers or even customers, is very aggressively becoming the norm of their intermittent operational overview.

The gauging, managing and the funding of the operation and supporting the IT Equipments and the IT Hosting Equipments have emerged as a major challenge for many organizations. Businesses strive to invest their capital in ways that deliver a measurable return – a new product or to fund a possible expansion in the operation.
