We always remember our teachers during Teachers\' Day that is annually held at school. Depending on what the administration has instituted, the teachers and the students could just have a whole day of fun without thinking of lessons, grades, tests or assignments. Or they could just spend an afternoon holding a program where teachers are recognized and the students give performances to entertain their teachers. They would also honor their teachers by giving gifts, flowers, or thank you cards. A teacher spends so much time of her time for her students that she also deserves a special treat. If you cannot afford to give gifts, you can at least make you own color thank you cards so that you can you can write a personalized note and express your creativity as well.
Below are some steps on making your own colored thank you cards for your teachers without having to spend so much. But at least, you get to express your appreciate for what she has done.
1. From whom will the card be? The thank you note could be sent by the student or the parents. You can also give a thank you card as a group or as a class, depending on what you agreed upon.
2. Choose the size and the design of the card. You may just buy ready-made cards from the art shop and get everyone to sign their short messages and their names on the card. If the card is from the entire class, you may want to choose those big specialized cards so that everyone has a space to write. Another idea is to buy a regular card but just some colorful papers that you will cut out in a size that could just be inserted in the card. Get the class to write their own messages for the teacher on each sheet and then just insert these inside the envelope or in the middle of the card.
3. You can also make an artwork. Your teachers will surely appreciate something that you made. You can ask everybody to write on papers cut into different shapes and of different colors. Then paste these personalized messages on a board. Spruce up this board with scrapbook embellishments that you can buy from the crafts store. It will be a group effort and your teacher will be very happy to read all the messages there. Chances are; she will have it framed and hanged inside the classroom beside her teacher\'s corner.
4. You may also want to write a poem for your teacher. They will be very happy to receive a well-written poem about them from their students. Put this poem in the card or on a poster form. You could print the poem on a sheet of special paper that is the size of a bond paper and then just embellish it. Or you may want to have this sheet laminated so that the teacher can put it up on her wall.
5. Choose a unique card that is related to the subject that your teacher handles. If you are giving a card to a science teacher, you may want the card to have a “scientific” theme, like cutouts of lab equipment, etc.
