Achieving Success in Your Life through Brain Fitness

For an individual to achieve success in the different aspects of their life, they have to learn how to attain brain fitness. Brain fitness is not only mind power from the conscious brain. It is also from the subconscious brain. In fact, in a day, an individual will have on average of sixty thousand thoughts, all separate from each other. Of all these thoughts, ninety percent of them take place in the subconscious mind. This proves how staggering the powers of the subconscious mind are. Most of the things that we do automatically like scratch an itch or walk in a familiar direction are done by our subconscious mind. We do not have to think for the act to be executed. This shows just how much cognition an individual’s mind has in responding to stimuli.

Although most of these automatic thoughts that are in your subconscious are positive, some may be harmful to you the individual. Some people harbor negative thoughts. Once these negative thoughts get to the subconscious, for example if you do not regard yourself highly, then they get repeated over and over again by the subconscious mind. This negative reinforcement of that bad thought is known as a success blocker. Success blockers are the kinds of subconscious thoughts that stop individuals from reaching their potential. This in turn stops you from achieving success in the different aspects of your life. Having success blockers convolute your subconscious mind hinders you from achieving any progress in the various areas of your life.

One thing people need to understand is that automatic thoughts largely determine an individual’s brain fitness. There is scientific validation that shows these are what make people act the way they do, behave the way they do as well as have the attitudes that they do. You can find that a group of people that have been exposed to the exact same stimuli and environment while growing up will tend to have the same automatic thoughts. This in turn translates into them behaving in a similar manner. When you want to get rid of success blockers, there are two things that you need to keep in mind. The first thing you would be required to do is determine the negative automatic thoughts that you have through brain training. This is not as easy as it sounds as you may not even recognize them as negative if you have been repeating them to yourself for years and years in your mind. You will need to explicitly question all the thoughts that you have regarding everything. The next thing that you would have to do is then try to eliminate these success blockers through brain fitness. You cannot simply think them away as chances are they will keep cropping up in either your conscious mind or subconscious mind. What you would need to do is list positive thoughts that you would now expose your mind to. Whenever you experience cognition of a negative thought that is a success blocker, you need apply brain fitness to stop thinking of it and instead seek affirmation in the positive thoughts. With time, your mind will be trained to only think positive thoughts and you will be on your way to achieving success in your life.
